Richard Paicius, MD, DABPM
Dr. Paicius serves as Director of Newport Beach Headache and Pain Institute. He is also an Assistant Professor in Pain Management at UCI as well as an educator for the International Spinal Injection Society. He received his medical degree at the University of Arizona and completed his residency at Harbor UCLA. He has been in private practice in Newport Beach specializing in Pain Management since 1996. Dr. Paicius is an expert in the full range of spinal diagnostic and interventional pain management procedures.
Stephen Barkow, MD, DABPM, QME
Dr. Barkow is a Pain specialist who received his training at UCLA and UCI, and has been practicing with the Newport Beach Headache and Pain Institute since April 2002. Dr. Barkow specializes in the evaluation and treatment of both acute and chronic pain, as well as providing a full range of spinal diagnostic procedures. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Pain Management. Prior to working in Orange County, Dr. Barkow practiced at the internationally renowned Denver Pain Management Institute.
Andrew Merritt, MD, DABPMR
Dr. Merritt is a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician who has been practicing in the Mission Viejo area for several years. He received his undergraduate degree at Stanford University and attended medical school at Vanderbilt. His Physicial Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency was completed at UCI Medical Center. He brings to us expertise in the treatment of neck and back pain as well as soft tissue injuries. He is an expert in providing medical management of pain, devising and monitoring physicial therapy regimes and also providing some minimally invasive procedures to treat pain. |
