Paolo Jorge, MD
Paolo G. Jorge is a Mayo Clinic fellowship trained, board certified Pain Medicine physician. He is also board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He grew up in Laguna Hills, California and is happy to be serving his hometown community of Southern California.
Dr. Jorge earned his Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. He then received his M.D. from Ross University where he graduated with Honors. He completed residency at Loma Linda University Health where he served as Chief Resident of the department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. During residency, he was awarded the Murray A Brandstater Leadership Award in 2018, Outstanding Resident Research Award in 2018 for his work with post-stroke recovery, and the Whole Person Care award in 2016. In 2017 he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical society. Dr. Jorge then completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Jorge specializes in all areas of pain medicine including spinal injections, peripheral joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, sympathetic nerve blocks, headache, and pharmacotherapy. With his training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Dr. Jorge brings a unique perspective to managing pain with an emphasis on regaining physical function and quality of life. He is also proficient in rehabilitation after stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury including chronic pain and spasticity management.
With the continuous advances to the field of interventional pain medicine, Dr. Jorge continues to stay up to date with research and offers the newest, most effective treatment options including DRG stimulation and Vertiflex Superion Spacer. He has a strong belief in the benefits of regenerative medicine treatment options and offers platelet rich plasma (PRP) for the treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain.
Dr. Jorge spends his free time with his family. They enjoy traveling, eating delicious food, and spending time with their two dogs. He also loves to stay active by playing ice hockey, golf, soccer, and tennis.
